Sunny Days

Sunny Days – Words & Music by Hank Woji

Sunny days, morning haze

Windswept afternoons

Azure skies, in your eyes

A desert rendezvous

Gentle rains, come ease my pains

Wash away all my fears

Faithful friends, right till the end

Making sense of the years

Twilight stretches oh so thin

Moonlight slowly starts to dim

Darkness covers me again

Don’t know where my journey ends

Autumn leaves, fallen dreams

Winter chills to the bone

Spring is born, in thunderstorms

Summer’s here then it’s gone

Hearts on fire, lost desire

Love’s a dangerous game

Feelings spurned, passions burn

Always someone to blame

The road it leads me further in

May not be back this way again

It gets to wearin’ kinda thin

Some days you take it on the chin

Starry nights, ghostly lights

Beneath a crescent moon

Dying words, are seldom heard

My time’s comin’ soon

Human touch, don’t ask for much

Comfort just holding hands

Yes, I know, but don’t let me go

We’ll count the last grains of sand

Mama’s calling me back home

I’m way out here on my own

But mourn me not when I am gone

Never meant to leave you all alone

Sunny days, morning haze

Windswept afternoons

Azure skies, in your eyes

A desert rendezvous
